Provides more dependable and accurate dosing, reducing cases of high blood glucose, improves outcomes and patient satisfaction
Transit-time ultrasound
Transonic's Transit-Time Ultrasound (TTU) flow measurement can accurately measure flow in all fluids because measurements are not dependent on particulate matter in fluid. TTU measures volume flow unlike Doppler which measures only velocity. Wide beam ultrasonic illumination of transit-time ultrasound flowsensors measure the velocity of fluid across the entire vessel lumen to derive volume flow in mL/min or L/min. Transonic Flowsensors also feature unmatched zero-flow stability, allowing for accuracy at low flow (near zero) flow rates, as little as 0.5mL/min.
Reduces microembroli leading to lower risk of high blood glucose and reduced risk of embolism
Transit-time ultrasound
Transonic's Transit-time Ultrasound (TTU) flow measurement through sterile tubing is the gold standard for blood flow verification, and has the capability of detecting bubbles that are 20% or larger of the inner diameter of the tubing being used. Wide beam ultrasonic illumination of transit-time ultrasound flowsensors measure the velocity of fluid across the entire vessel lumen to derive volume flow in mL/min or L/min., and in the process can register the presence of bubbles.
